A large number of people consider themselves lazy. They believe they are just like that and they blame their laziness for their problems. The thing is, it's impossible to be lazy. You need to have something to occupy your brain. Your brain needs it's dopamine. That's just how it is. It needs to be stimulated; to feel like you did something worth doing. You are doing something at all times; the only problem is, are you doing the right thing.
Is your brain helping you move in the direction of growth or have you already fed it some cheap, useless dopamine so it feels satisfied and has no desire to work anymore. If you're already giving your brain the stimulation it needs: social network instead of actual get togethers, games instead of real life situations, porn instead of real connections then your brain believes it's already living a perfect life. It remains satisfied with the current situation and feels no need to work for anything. This is why I equate cheap dopamine sources to tranquilizing yourself.
If you never teach your brain that rewards come after working on something, consistently for a long time; if you keep providing it a feeling of accomplishment without doing anything important; then it will work against you.
However for someone who isn't used to this idea, they aren't sure of how to proceed. A good idea would be to do meaningful work right after waking up. You are in the best state of mind at that time. Your brain is seeking new experiences for the day and it hasn't been tranquilized right now. If you work with an excited mindset, you will like it.
Another good idea is to just start doing. Whatever it is you need to do. Do it for 5 minutes, embrace the idea of working. Even if you aren't completely sure of something, if it feels like it might help, just begin working on it. Build momentum behind it and keep pushing. Don't get stuck in paralysis analysis. You don't need to be 100% sure about something before you start doing it. Your problem isn't a lack of time which you need to manage carefully. It's the lack of action that's the problem.
If you've already watched a video or two, played a game or watched porn, your motivation for the day would be gone already. That's why it's critical to do the important thing right after waking up. Give an hour or two of your best time to the work. It will be equivalent to a lot more hours of work done later in the day. And it will also ensure you stay consistent with it everyday. The longer you go without doing it in the day, the harder it will be to do it
